Cleveland Candle Company was started by co-owners David Gin and Tanya McCollister, who began making candles as a hobby and hosted friends at house parties. Its first store opened in Mentor in 2015, followed by shops in Cleveland Heights and Cleveland's Ohio City neighborhood. Customers can take candle-making classes and pour their own from a selection of more than 200 scents. The company has also made beer-themed candles with Fatheads brewery.
