What they make
Jennifer Worden makes art from recycled glass, including tabletop glass trees, wall pieces and recycled glass set in copper jewelry. A 2011 Akron Art Museum profile says she fuses the glass with a process she developed through experimentation, and that she taught herself glass techniques from books, manuals and videos. Her work was sold through an Etsy shop linked from her website.

Zanesville pottery
Zanesville, in Muskingum County, earned the nickname Clay City. In the first half of the 20th century more than a dozen potteries operated in and around the city, including Roseville, Weller and J. B. Owens, plus large tile makers.
They set up there because the area has plenty of local clay and rivers. The industry peaked economically in the 1950s, and a new generation of Ohio potters still works in that tradition.
Why is Zanesville famous for pottery?
It sits on ample clay deposits beside rivers, which made it a natural center for both art pottery and everyday ware.
