What they make
The Happy Groundhog Studio is a Cincinnati, Ohio plush business founded in 2012 by Melissa Bracken, a trained sculptor, who works from the third floor of her home. She makes huggable animals, including raccoons, penguins, whales, sloths and groundhogs, from thrift-store sweaters. Each has a red heart made from felt from recycled water bottles.

Zanesville pottery
Zanesville, in Muskingum County, earned the nickname Clay City. In the first half of the 20th century more than a dozen potteries operated in and around the city, including Roseville, Weller and J. B. Owens, plus large tile makers.
They set up there because the area has plenty of local clay and rivers. The industry peaked economically in the 1950s, and a new generation of Ohio potters still works in that tradition.
Why is Zanesville famous for pottery?
It sits on ample clay deposits beside rivers, which made it a natural center for both art pottery and everyday ware.
