What they make
The Oak Barrel Co. was founded in 2005 by Chris Deffenbaugh, who began by rebuilding a worn-out barrel for a friend. He builds furniture and home goods from repurposed wine and bourbon barrels in a barn workshop near Wooster. Pieces include bar tables and stools, benches, mirrors, light fixtures and wine storage. A showroom in Berlin, Holmes County, opened in 2016.
